I just bought a house that comes with a wood fired pizza oven, I'm so excited to make my first pizza with it, but curious what kind of wood works best for this kind of pizza oven
I'm thinking to use oak and fruit woods. I found a local supplier who had oak and cherry, so I bought a few bundles of each to try
I'd like to know what others are choosing to burn, and what you think about the woods that I bought

Nice score on the oven! my brother says for this kind of oven, oak is the classic choice for consistent heat, and cherry will give your pizzas a little smoky to fruity edge

cool! a house with . I like to use maple or fruitwoods. just avoid the softwoods ( like pine or fir) and make sure the wood is fully dried
