Portable home pizza oven

If you just want something that works without a steep learning curve, grab an Ooni Koda 12. Runs on propane, no wood fuss, heats up in about 15 minutes, and gets you legit Neapolitan-style pies. Easy starter oven.

What portable pizza oven can you guys recommend for a newbie like me?
I agree with @Flik_Mercenary.
I'd also suggest the Ooni Koda 1 or the Gozney Roccbox.
They're both fantastic, reliable options that are user-friendly right out of the box.
Both can also hit those super high temps needed for a quick, authentic Neapolitan-style pie.
If you're just starting, the simplicity of gas will make it much easier to get the hang of things while you focus on your dough and launch technique.
Just also remember to grab an infrared thermometer, it's the most important accessory you can buy to get consistent results!

Between the Koda 1 and Roccbox, do you find one holds heat better for back-to-back pizzas? Also curious how they handle wind or cooler temps. And good call on the thermometer, I hadn't even thought of that!

The Roccbox has a thicker insulation so it holds the heat better for back-to-back pizzas!
You'll have less downtime waiting for the stone to reheat compared to the Koda.
Both ovens can be affected by wind and cooler temps, but the Roccbox's design is a bit more robust against the elements.
A strong gust of wind can cause the flame to flicker on either, and you'll always have a longer preheat in the cold.
So it's still best to find a sheltered spot!
And about the thermometer, I didn't also think of that when I started so I like to share this when I get the chance!

If you're just starting out, you might want to check out the Ooni Koda 12 as recommended above, which is gas-powered and super user-friendly. Alternatively, the Ooni Fyra 12 runs on wood pellets and offers a more classic flavor. Both of these options heat up fast, won't break the bank, and are pretty easy to learn with. If you're looking for something a little different, the Solo Stove Pi is another great gas choice

Thanks for sharing this! I just got a Roccbox last month after borrowing my cousin's Koda for a few backyard pizza nights. Noticed right away how the Roccbox holds heat better between pies, super helpful when friends are hungry! Good tip on the thermometer too, I added one after my first few burns came out uneven.

Has anyone here tried using a Revolve Pizza Oven? I've heard good reviews about it. Which is better the Ooni Koda 12 or the Revolve Pizza Oven?

here is my video of g3 ferrari pro 2 minuti.. it is good for the price, however need to make new video, now even better pizzas im making..
I just love cheese on side too :)

I started making pizza in my backyard with a basic steel setup but been eyeing portable ovens lately. Does the Roccbox recover fast enough for a few pies in a row during a party? do you use an infrared thermometer or something built-in to check the stone temp?
