I’m new to the pizza oven game. I’ve heard people using it for steaks and burgers, but I’m not so sure. Can it really match a traditional grill? Also, how do you manage heat zones for different foods? Thanks everyone!

Yep, you can cook steaks and burgers in a pizza oven and they get a good sear if you use a hot stone or metal tray. The heat is strong, so keeping a cooler area near the front helps for resting or finishing. Are you using wood or gas? That affects how easy it is to manage the heat.

I tried burgers on a pizza stone and they cooked fast with good flavor. I moved them around to avoid flare-ups. You might want to test with smaller cuts first.

one thing I usually do to manage the heat zone, is to use a pan or skillet. if you grill items like steaks and burgers, place them in a cast iron pan. this helps contain the food, prevents direct flare ups from hitting the meat, and makes it easier to monitor and flip
